The GAR Hall was originally Gettysburg’s first Methodist
Church, purchased by the Civil War veterans group Grand Army of the Republic. The property underwent major restoration by its present owners, Historic Gettysburg Adams County—
a preservation society, and is located at 53 East Middle St., Gettysburg. It is available for rental; arrangements may be made by calling 334-5185.

Salvage Warehouse Update
Celebrate Gettysburg, a local magazine, featured the Architectural
Salvage Warehouse in its current issue beginning on page 41. You can read the digital version by going to www.celebrategettysburg.com/thisIssue.html. Since the article came out we have received a donation of 26 window sashes from an 1850s house and several others called
and stopped in on January 16 when Merry Bush opened to accept the donation.
One of the board and batten doors from
the warehouse, as well as a window sash or two, will make up part of the set for the performance of Amahl
and the Night Visitors at the Majestic Theater on Sunday, January 24. This loan was also a result of the magazine
article.The Warehouse will reopen for the season on Saturday,
April 17 at 1:00 pm with a celebrate open house. Refreshments will be served. The warehouse will also be open from 1 to 4
pm on the following Saturdays: May 15, June 19, July 17, August 21, September 18 and October 16. Volunteers are always welcome.
