The Historic Gettysburg-Adams
County (HGAC) Barn Preservation Project is once again looking for photographers and artists who would like to exhibit their
original two or three dimensional artwork (photographs, drawings, paintings, prints, mixed media, ceramics, and sculpture)
of Adams County barns. The Third Annual
HGAC Barn Art Show will be held this year from June 18th to June 21st, 2009, as a part of the Gettysburg Arts Festival-- Celebrating America. All works of art must feature
a barn from within Adams County and the art will be displayed in the GAR building at 53 East Middle Street.
Because
of last year’s strong community response, categories for the 2009 BarnArt Exhibit include Adult Fine Art and Adult Photography
and Student Fine Art and Student Photography. Prizes in each category will be and $100 and
$75 for Adults and $75 and $50 for Students. Only one entry per
participant will be accepted. To enter the art exhibit, Mail the following to: HGAC, PO

be postmarked no later than May 23rd, 2009 and should be addressed to HGAC BarnArt Show, P.O. Box 4611,
Gettysburg PA 17325. Artists
will be notified by May 30th of their acceptance in the show, and the artwork must be delivered to the
GAR Hall on June 6th between
9:00 AM and noon. Artwork must be ready to hang or display, and it must weigh less than twenty pounds.
Its length or its width may not be more than four feet. An Awards Reception will be held on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 PM.Peoples’ Choice Awards in Adult and Student Categories will be awarded
at 3:00 PM Display times: Thursday and Friday, June 18th and 19th, 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM Saturday, June 20th, 10 AM to 5 PM and Sunday June
